Gives reps a strategic advantage over their competition
Needham, MA -- November 4, 1998 -- Bruce Yogel, a Software Developer for 10 years, whose company goes by his name, has developed a computer software program called OSFA! (pronounced O-S-F-A,) solely for T-shirt sales representatives.
OSFA! has been well received by reps and manufacturers in the industry. OSFA! is currently being used by reps from well known manufacturers throughout the United States including Lakeshirts, Top Threads, Techstyles, Ouray, J. America and others.
OSFA! was developed with simplicity yet functionality in mind, most reps using it have no prior computer experience. Once orders are entered, the information can be analyzed in a variety of reports, many of which were due to requests by the reps themselves! For instance, a rep can see their best selling designs, styles, and colors, for a particular account, period of time, or manufacturer. Other reports include vendor-ranking, account-ranking, sales by month, sales by account, sales by manufacturer, commission report, and unpaid commissions. Shipments are also tracked and can be reported on. OSFA! provides the rep with instant access to previous sales information when dealing with both accounts and manufacturers.
"The program allows the rep to have a multitude of order and contact information available with a few clicks," stated Bruce Yogel. "One rep told me he got an order over his competition because he impressed his customer by preparing a report showing their previous purchasing activity".
The program is split up into 4 files; the orders file is where orders are entered and reported on, the customer file stores customer information such as bill to and ship to information; during order entry this file is referenced to look up address information. The customer file stores contact names, phone numbers and produces customer lists, letters, faxes, and labels. A designs file stores design numbers and descriptions, during order entry a pick list of available designs allows the user to click the design they want and the corresponding design name is automatically entered. The products file works in a similar way to the designs file, it stores body style numbers and descriptions, and depending on the style number the user selects, the corresponding description and price automatically appear.
